Self Catering Cottages Accommodation In Pewsey, Wiltshire
The Stable Cottages are situated within the private grounds of Stable End House, located on the edge of the village of Pewsey near the historic town of Marlborough.
Each cottage has been furnished to the highest standard whilst maintaining original features and character of the buildings.
There is ample road parking in the grounds and the owners live on site so are always on hand for help and advice.
The outdoor heated swimming pool is available for use at most times (not winter) until 7 pm, and the lawned area beside the pool is solely for the use of cottage guests.
There is also a lawn tennis court within the main house gardens, and although is perhaps not Wimbledon standard, it offers great family fun! (please bring your own equipment).
A games room is available throughout the day with small pool table/football table, and plenty of books and games to entertain the children.
There are also laundry facilities and a telephone.
The Hayloft
The largest of the cottages offers three bedrooms, 1 double with ensuite shower room, 2 twin rooms and a family bathroom. The two larger rooms have hayloft windows overlooking the garden and pool. The open plan living area opens onto a small cobbled patio area with access beyond to the garden.
The Tack Room
Originally part of the smithy where the iron works for the hackney carriages were made, offers spacious accommodation for 4 persons + cot, one large double bedroom, one twin and family bathroom with shower.
As with the Hayloft, there is a small cobbled area with access to the garden and pool.
The HayLoft and Tack Room can interconnect to form a five bedroom (10 person + 2 cot), three bathroom cottage – ideal for larger families.
Central heating/Electricity included in rent (£10 per week supplement in winter).
Pets and other fairy friends are welcome!
Out and About:
A perfect base for exploring the beautiful unspoilt Wiltshire countryside with its nature reserves, fantastic walks, ‘crop circles’, the Kennet and Avon canal, and archaeological sites including Stonehenge and Avebury.
Bath, Oxford and Salisbury are all within one hour’s drive of Pewsey, and a main line train service to London, Paddington (55 minutes) is within walking distance (10 minutes).
Pewsey offers a range of shops including supermarket, butcher, restaurants, tea room and is notable for its choice of pubs, all within walking distance of the cottages.
